Minnesota Building Contractor Continuing Education

The following day of classes is approved for 7 credits by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (includes energy and business management credits).

  • MN Health Enforcement of RRP, OSB as Part of Air Barrier System (energy credit)
  • Code-compliant Methods to Drill, Cut, Notch, or Repair Floor Joists
  • Lien & Debt Collection (business management credit)

More about the instructor: 

Greg Olson, Professional Education Resources, LLC, holds multiple professional credentials in construction and building code administration. He is a licensed MN Building Official and is certified for code administration on residential structures and accessible facilities. Olson also holds qualifying builder licenses in both Minnesota and Nebraska and is a certified Continuing Education Provider in Minnesota and Wisconsin, authorized to train contractors and building officials. Olson earned a bachelor of science in education from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and is based in Red Wing, M.N. 

Power Limited Technician Continuing Education

Instructed by Tim Pull, TJP Electrical Training, this course is pending approval for 8 hours of interactive lecture (4.5 hours of code) for continuing education in Minnesota and North Dakota.

PLTs and the 2023 NEC: This class will cover changes in the 2023 NEC that affect Power Limited Technicians as well as a review of the most important rules for PLTs. The course will also review principles of DC and AC electrical circuits.
